This interactive was built as part of ico design's rebuild of the Microbiology Society website. The previous version was built using Flash, the challenge was to rebuild it exactly using JavaScript and make sure it worked responsively. CreateJS was used for the canvas part of the work whilst the microbes were animated using Adobe Animate. Optimising the microbes was a lengthy process, making sure they used common elements and working out clever ways to keep the file size of the generated animation code as small as possible.
